OCTOBER IN REVIEW

October in review www.giftcollins.com
My October was great, how was yours?.

Would it sound so cliche if i say i cant believe October is over and that we have just a month before a new year?

I remember starting the month of October with online shopping secrets most people do not know and ending with ways to take care of your skin at home without spending money shopping for products. Did i hear you say what an irony! Oh well, such is life. lol

October came with so many highs and almost no lows for me and i hope it was a pleasant month for everyone.

Just in case you do not know, this is my very first life lately post on the blog and i honestly have no idea what format to use but i am just going to go all out and see what comes out of my very first life lately post and i hope you all love it so much so that you ask me to make it a monthly affair on the blog.

well without further Ado, let’s get down to it.

My life lately

life in October was like a roller coaster ride, very invigorating and filled with pure undiluted joy.

LEARNT: To live, laugh and love without holding back, to overlook little things, to stumble as much as i want but to always get back on my feet. Most importantly i am learning what it means to be an adult.

READ: The most exciting books! I love to read and growing up i read everything from horror, to paranormal to romance to motivational…mehn, i can go all and all but i read so much that my school librarian knew me as ‘ the library’s everyday customer’. However the stress of university coupled with my discipline took away my vast reading habits and confined me into the space of reading recommended school texts and textbooks and as a theatre art student, we read mostly plays but i still tried to chip in a few exciting books once in a while,

few weeks back, we had a book sharing session on the bloggers advocate and i read a few like Arese’s SMART MONEY WOMAN which the black beauty did justice to in her review. I have also read DEAR FUTURE HUSBAND by Tomi Adesina. i know you are intrigued by the title already, i will be reviewing the book soon.

WATCHED: My favourite Nigerian series of the moment! skinny girl in transit has no competition in my heart and i cant wait to watch today’s episode. Also watched my favourite youtube channels and the movies bring it on, rough nights and a lot more.

Major achievement in October

GRADUATED: YES! I wrote my final exams on the 30th of October and i am still ecstatic about it all. i cant wait for what’s next.

OBESSESSED: Over my school grades as i had just the month of October to make a final impact on my cgpa and so i read so so much. my school grades are definitely not the only thing i was obsessed with but it was the most important followed by my newest crave for potato porridge ever since i saw this post from egos kitchen.

My makeup life was practically none existent because it was a stressful month but i couldn’t be so mean to my skin and so i gave it a yummy treat, read here. As the month drew nearer to it’s end, i fell in love with lip glosses which was weird because i have always been a lip stay matte kind of girl.

With my new found love for glosses, the goods from my trade fair experience came in handy.

MY BLOG LATELY

STEADY GROWTH: It is amazing how far i have come in such a short time. i started blogging as a novice and 5 months down the line i can say i am not failing.

STATISTICS: I exceeded my traffic goals for October and i am so happy and i hope November is this good too.

GOOD NEWS: My blog clocks 6 months on the 15th of November and looking back at my first blog post, i realise that i have developed better in my blogging game. There will be a lot of changes around the blog and as my family, i would love to hear your opinions on what you want to see on the blog.

GIVEAWAY: I couldn’t have made it to this point without you my readers and to show appreciation as our blog clocks 6 months, i want to do a giveaway. However i am stuck on giveaway ideas. I have a few in mind though and they are;

  • paid blog theme
  • help one blogger get a domain
  • skin care products
  • Thrift items

I would love to hear more giveaway suggestions please, thank you.

A NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER

Since the beginning of the month i have been hearing ”a November to remember”. At first i was like it’s a nice phrase with good rhythm until it dawned on me that it meant more. A NOVEMBER TO REMEMBER is more of a prophecy and since this realization, i have been speaking to my November to work greatly in my favour and make it truly a November to remember for good and within 3 days, i have been blessed immensely.

MAY NOVEMBER BE A MONTH TO REMEMBER FOR US ALL.
