THE PORT-HARCOURT FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL

the port-harcourt food and drink festiva

Currently listening to the sound of my stomach rumbling as i remember memories from the food festival

Have you ever attended a food festival? if yes, read till the end and if its a no, then grant me the pleasure of giving you your very first food festival in words and pictures.

The food festival held on a lovely Saturday afternoon at the beautiful Port-harcourt pleasure park.

i arrived late as my fellow foodies @zobam and @Nana had already arrived.

From the entrance gate i could perceive the aroma of delicious food and i quickly hastened my steps as i was so drawn to where the aroma was coming from.

After roughly five minutes, i finally found the tents where different vendors had sampled their meals but sadly i had to walk away from the tent in search of Zobam and Nana even as my stomach roared in disapproval.

After series of where are you guys and calls, i caught up with Nana and Zobam, we exchanged pleasantries and immediately took selfies.

afterwards we marched down to the food tents like we were the three musketeers, ready to take on each and every food on display.

    Meet the vendors

The first place we visited was Fifi’s food house, apparently Nana had already visited and couldn’t stop gushing about how warm and friendly aunty Fifi was.

Aside being friendly, she is obviously a great cook……just check out the photo below

    FIFI’S FOOD HOUSE

We got her Zobo drink named Jowbo and you can see it in almost every picture i took because it was just too tasty for me to let go.

Our next stop was this stand where they had on display Bole(roasted plantain) which is Port-harcourt’s number one snack, chicken and chips and many more.

    YUM!

Again, the Lady at this stand was friendly; she called my attention to my makeup which was breaking and even helped me dab my face.

We moved on and i was immediately captivated by this stand where this beautiful lady and a man i supposed is her husband where marketing their goods and guess what it was???? KAMI’S FOOD MART

She had all the necessary ingredients to give your pot of soup an extra Jazz and the amazing part was they were properly packaged and surprisingly cheap, i mean she had dried fishes for as low as N300 and with the quantity and quality, its such a steal.

still on the move around the port-harcourt food and drink festival

One look at the picture above and i bet you already know what section this was……….Operation Fitfam.

this was Kilali organic coconut product. They had variety of organic coconut products and just like the banner says, they re gluten free and unsweetened, so for all my Fitfam people, this store is a must for you.

    WHO WANTS SOME CAKE?

Nengi’s piece of cake: Immediately i saw this stand, my heart went “The thing go.. skrrra pap pap ka ka ka skidiki.” lol.

I am a big fan of cakes and he had such an array of beautiful cakes. I spotted a red velvet cake in the picture….oh! how my stomach growled on seeing it.

If there’s such a thing as an association of cake lovers, then i am definitely going to be the queen who sits on the iron throne as the number 1 cake lover.

People say when you have a one in a kind experience, you cant stop gushing about it! i fell in love with Big kitchen or should i say i fell in love with their giant sized fully loaded burger.

the port-harcourt food and drink festival

they offer home service delivery and have burgers as low as 1000 naira only, if you are not already ordering a burger, i dont know what else you are waiting for.

the port-harcourt food and drink festival

i also met this clown guy holding up an advert for justorderng and i immediately felt like a child at a party but since i have no photos of clowns and i from my childhood days, i quickly corrected that by taking a picture with him.

we couldn’t visit all the stands, but we visited the most interesting ones
