• BlogTober 2019: 31 Days Of Blog Post Ideas

It’s Blogtober 2019!! Welcome to another Blogtober.

I am a big fan of Blogtober, I tried it out for the first time last year and even challenged others to join the Blogtober challenge and it was an amazing experience not just for me, but also for the bloggers who joined.

But First, What Is Blogtober 2019?

Blogtober is a blogosphere annual celebration that takes place every October. Bloggers are challenged to blog every day of the month hence the term Blogtober.

It serves to help bloggers put in more effort into dishing steady quality posts for their audience. Although, the Blogtober trend has faced some backlash from bloggers who opine that no one month should be specified for bloggers to churn out steady contents, rather bloggers should strive to give quality post and not quantity.

For me, I find Blogtober to be a way of rejuvenating my blogging spirits and also connecting better with my audience. It is easy to get stuck in a blogging rut and last year, I found out partaking in the blogging challenge made me write and publish posts consistently. My blog traffic spiked and seeing other bloggers do the challenge with me, lifted my spirits.

I am not challenging anyone to join me on Blogtober 2019 but I would love for other bloggers to join in. Let’s give our readers an amazing October. If you do join, please link back to this post, I would really love to read.

How to successfully partake in Blogtober 2019

Bloggers all over the world partaking in Blogtober 2019. They are doing this using the hashtag Blogtober2019. On Facebook, you’ll find blogtober groups where bloggers participating share their posts and link back to each other.

Publishing a blog post every day can be quite overwhelming but there are ways to hack this and successfully blog every day this October.

    Plan and Schedule

Start by planning your blog posts, research blog post ideas, write them and schedule per day. This way you are batch processing and won’t feel pressured.

Start by paying attention and studying your audience analytics, you can achieve this using your google analytics account to see the kind of contents your blog readers engage with best. Also, research trending topics using google keyword planner or Pinterest trends.

    Repurpose Old Content

    Blogtober 2019

While writing new blog posts are great, updating old blog posts are equally good for your blog in terms of having up-to-date/ evergreen content which helps your SEO rank to be better.

So, blogtober 2019 is a good time to revive old blog posts. Simply edit them, add updated information and republish.

However, you can also write a sequel or follow-up post on a previously published blog post, i.e a morning routine post published in 2018, you can write a follow-up post showing if you are still using the same routine or share a new routine if you’ve changed the previous one.
